This assignment is designed to assess learning outcomes: • Develop constructive, critical thinking skills relevant to the assessment of other student’s arguments and be able to communicate these clearly and coherently both orally and in writing. • Examine and demonstrate mastery of research outside of their immediate research question. This assignment is an individual assignment. This assignment requires you to critically appraise the dissertation of a fellow student based in the same group as yourself, e.g. the Health Economics group. In summary, your supervisor will principally be looking for your evaluation of the content of the original paper; suggestions for improvements to the original paper and an assessment of the quality and clarity of arguments in the original paper. You will be acting like a critical friend and also behaving in a similar way to academics who review research papers submitted to academic journals.
