INSTRUCTIONS… You do need to make it clear if you are citing a specific source, for example, a case or an authored work such as a book or journal article. For cases, it will be sufficient if you cite using a shortened form of the full citation (as you might do in timed exam conditions). For example, instead of citing ‘Fisher v Bell [1961] 1 QB 394’ you may simply cite ‘Fisher v Bell’ or even if it is clear, ‘Fisher’. Similarly, for academic writing, you may simply cite the author’s or authors’ name: ‘as Adams and Brownsword argue…..’ etc. You need not cite specific page or paragraph numbers, or titles of works
