Question Description

I’m working on a art question and need a sample draft to help me study.

1-In Greece, there is the Parthenon built in Athens, which was a sophisticated building built in order to honor Athena. It had an fotos tule arrangement in order to make space for a big enough statue of Athena. Now, in comparison to the Pantheon built in Rome, this was a temple made from a Hellenistic concept. They built the Pantheon in honor of all the gods, living or deceased. It is one of the most preserved temples in Rome and in the seventh century was transformed into a church. Not only does it represent the culture, but it’s suitable for all the community to enjoy. They can worship the gods but also have a beautiful personal experience in the temple just by the essence and architecture of it, it makes it something enjoyable for all.
2- In my opinion the Pantheon represents the Roman culture better than the Parthenon represents the Greek culture. The Pantheon continues to be a reflection to the Roman people’s ingenuity and talent. It is significant because it is the best-preserved Roman monument. The Roman culture is known for many things one being the superiority/ego, which transcended down to their architecture inevitably making a grand structure equally as impressive as it was beautiful with its geometrical perfection and symmetry. Being that the Pantheon is in remarkable condition compared to its counterparts shows that the longevity not only of the structure but of the Roman culture was always a priority. Opposed to the Greek culture who often made structures/works of art in the likeness of God’s the Roman culture essentially was “for the people”. The pantheon echoes the superiority complex of the Roman civilization through its longevity, outreach, and the intentional symmetry all resemble the perfection and need to conquer that was prevailant in the culture.
