How can we overcome obstacles?.
Directions: Write an expository essay in which you express a strong original opinion of your own about this topic. You must, in the introduction of your essay, make a reference to the book you are reading (No Quotes) in which you explain briefly in your own words what the author shows us about this topic; then you must introduce your own opinion about the topic. Your opinion should bring up an idea or insight that is relevant beyond your immediate personal experience. *You will support your opinion with clear supporting points and explanations, illustrated by examples and details from your own experience, the experience of others, and references to the book you are reading (True Notebooks by Mark Salzman, chapter 1-18) *My thesis: We often overcome the obstacles by giving our full personal efforts, the help of others, or both. *Already have personal efforts written down, just need the other two. One from others and the other example from the book.
