Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and the Effect on patients

Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and the Effect on patients.

For your final project, please complete the following for the topic Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and the Effect on patients Paragraph describing your process of narrowing your topic. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis or also known as Cryptogenic fibrosing alveolitis is one of the diseases that features shortness of breath, radiographic pulmonary infiltrates but no therapy that has been clearly shown that it can prolong survival of patients. The disease can be devastating for patients. The cause is unknown and very few treatment options. The most current research shows that pulmonary fibrosis is driven by abnormally activated alveolar epithelial cells (Gross & Hunninghake). In this project I would like to review recent data on therapeutic options, and underlying causes thought to be involved in the pathogenesis of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. How can they educate the patients education about the disease? Create a test for staff to take at the end of the class to meet the objectives. Create questions to ask during class. To create a lesson you need 1. Develop 5 Learning Outcomes in a following format : 2. To meet these outcomes, construct a lesson plan that o • Appeals to different learning styles o • Demonstrates an ethical commitment to students (this is typically implied in the way you design your lesson and address your audience) o • Is focused, organized and appropriate for the targeted group (age, experience, prior knowledge, patient vs health care professional etc.) o • Utilizes effective questioning techniques for both summative and formative assessments. o • Demonstrates the use of motivational techniques to keep the audience engaged; and evaluation methods to assess learning (could be a quiz or observation of performance or both depending on what is being assessed and the audience). Quiz must include well- constructed multiple choice, true/false, matching, and short answer type questions. o • Includes a post lesson reflection This will primarily be a written assignment, however, if you plan to use a visual aid like a PowerPoint, then that should be included in the final project. If you want to show a video, you would need to find one that is available on-line or create one and publish it online, so all members and faculty can have access. The final draft should be organized as follows: • • Unit Title and Overview • • Rationale • • Outcomes • • Materials • • Instructional Content and Procedure/Methods • • Summative Evaluation procedure • • Reflection
