Description
The effects of a carbohydrate mouth rinse on aerobic fitness test score and serve accuracy in junior elite tennis players. The subjects will take a carbohydrate mouth rinse every 5 minutes during the warm up and throughout the test (Buckheit 30:15 fitness test) followed by a 5 minute rest period then will hit 30 first serves aiming for a target box in the service area. The is a blind crossover study with 2 testing days 1 week apart. Some subjects will mouth rinse a malt ode train solution and some will mouth rinse a placebo solution then the subjects will switch for the second test day. Both solutions will taste the same. Subjects heart rate, RPE, fitness test score and serve accuracy score will be recorded
