Essays must be in MLA format, with no use of the 1st person. This eliminates/minimizes any biased writing or writing that focuses on the student rather than the work. Must be written using at least one of the assigned books. You are allowed to use other books in this class if you are going for a comparative essay. The course focuses on novels and poems by Latin American American authors.
